Our
History
Serving
Northeast Tarrant County
Since 1969
In
1963, Mike and Jan Bowman relocated from southern Illinois and Indiana
to Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to a career in real estate, Mike worked in
the engineering division for Bell Helicopter. In 1969, Mike obtained his
real estate license and began his career selling real estate.
Mike
opened his first real estate office with approximately 450 square feet
of working space in 1971. His goal was to "provide the very best in services
for buyers and sellers in a positive atmosphere, so realtors could build
careers that allowed them to be the best they could be."
As the real estate office grew so did the number of agents. Today, CENTURY
21 Mike Bowman, Inc., has expanded to 12,500 square feet in the Landmark
Bank building in Euless, Texas. The company has more than 135 real estate
agents and 21 staff members and managers. In August 2000, the company
opened a relocation center in the Southlake Town Center.
CENTURY
21 Mike Bowman, Inc. has received numerous awards, including the honor
of the being the only brokerage in the history of the CENTURY 21 system
to be named the No. 1 office in the world in closed units for seven out
of the past eight years. In 1999, Real Trends magazine recognized the
company as the No. 2 office in the nation in closed units out of more
than 150,000 offices nationwide. In 2000, the company was listed as one
of the top five offices in the country by Real Trends.
"Our
company has a long tradition of relocating families in and out of Northeast
Tarrant County," Mike said. "We have sold more homes in the Northeast
Tarrant County than any other office in the past 32 years. Our relocation
office assists more than 1,350 buyers and sellers annually."
Mike
believes that the personal relationship between the real estate agent
and the buyer or seller is an integral part of any real estate transaction.
The company is renowned for breaking new ground in developing technology
that can further assist the buyer and seller. The company launched its
web site, www.c21bowman.com, in November 2000. This 1000-page site not
only provides in-depth information about real estate but offers a powerful
search engine that allows users to quickly search all properties listed
with the North Texas multiple listing service, courtesy of the North Texas
Real Estate Information Systems (NTREIS).
"Since
users do not want to wait a long time for a page to download, it was our
goal to develop a web site for users to retrieve information quickly and
easily, " said Mike Bowman, president of Century 21 Mike Bowman, Inc.
"The results have been phenomenal. We receive more than 50,000 searches
each month on our site not only locally but also nationally and internationally.
Our relocation department has seen a dramatic increase in leads."
The
web site database is updated daily to ensure that the latest information
is available online. Users can view more than 20,000 listings in the Dallas-Fort
Worth area. For each listing, users can retrieve relocation tools and
school information and print a flyer.
"Technology
is setting the pace in real estate and more and more people are looking
to the internet for information," said Mike Bowman. "We want to assemble
a web site that is easy to navigate and provides useful information. We
are constantly enhancing our site to meet the needs of our users and hope
that buyers and sellers will 'Discover the Difference' with our site and
our company."
Mike
has served as president of the Northeast Tarrant County Board of Realtors
and as a member of the Board of Directors for area banks. He was the first
chairperson of the Adopt-A-School program for the Hurst-Euless-Bedford
(HEB) Independent School District. Mike and Jan have three children and
seven grandchildren.
In 1999,
"Real Trends" magazine recognized the company as the # 2 Office
in the Nation in closed units out of more than 150,000 offices nationwide.
In 2000, "Real Trends" listed the company in the top 5, and
in 2001 the office was listed as one of the top 10 offices in closed units
nationwide.
CENTURY
21 Mike Bowman, Inc. has a long tradition of providing excellent service
moving clients and customers in and out of the Tarrant County area for
